Intentionally Integrating SEL with Music
Shawn Longo and Scott Edgar
Music naturally aligns with social and emotional learning. This webinar will shine light on the parallels that exist between music classes and the keys to social-emotional learning through an exploration of various resources, including selarts.org. Strategies for authentically integrating SEL competencies into music curriculums and what it can look like in the classroom and rehearsals will also be presented.
Dr. Scott Edgar, author of Music Education and Social-Emotional Learning: The Heart of Teaching Music, will continue the conversation on Social Emotional Learning and answer questions you have about incorporating Social-Emotional strategies in your music classroom this year!
